On the nose we find hints of jasmin and magnolia, with suggestions of cinnamon and vanilla, together with touches of developed character with grilled almonds and caramel. Truly a complex and most inviting aroma.
A feast for the palate
On the palate we find complex fruit flavours with suggestions of fig, apricot, dried fruits and vanilla, with some caramel and ginger notes and on the finish touches of sweet spice.
Cellar master’s comment
Truly this is a wine for special occasions. The 1998 Josephine will be a wonderful match with fine food, particularly for me, ravioli with foie gras, swordfish or with lobster risotto. It promises many a wonderful occasion.
